Parents, there are 5 assessments this week. Please make sure your students have studied for them and are well-prepared. I will send the Cumulative Math Test (covering all the concepts we've learned thus far) home corrected (but not graded) on Thursday so you can have your student make corrections for additional credit as mentioned in the notes. Make sure you are practicing Math Facts Sheet "A" this week, as that is what we are practicing in class too.
Conferences are coming up, and as in the past, they are not required for every student. I will only be meeting with parents whose students may be struggling and need a little extra support. I will reach out after this week and schedule the conferences on October 14th. If I don't contact you, but you'd like a conference, please let me know, and I will schedule one for you too.
I cannot believe we are in week 8 already! Thank you for sharing your wonderful students with me. They are truly a gift, and I cherish our time together. Have a terrific week, and may you be abundantly blessed. Mrs. B.

MATH:

MEMORY WORK:
Geography: We'll be memorizing the names and locations of some countries in the West Indies for the next few weeks. A hard copy of this map can be found behind the "memory" tab in your child's binder. Additional maps, as well as MP3s of the corresponding song, are available at this link:

History: Students will memorize a portion of the
Declaration of Independence (bolded portion only - recitation on 11/10) and 21 key dates. The key dates have accompanying jingles that do not have to be memorized, but will help students memorize the dates and retain details about the events to which they correspond.
